About Us
Dorothy Traver was a selfless and loving wife and mother, who was highly active in local church and scholastic communities and constantly strived to improve others’ lives. She lost her life to uterine sarcoma on October 3, 2003, but her spirit of compassion and selflessness lives on through her family and friends.
To honor Dorothy’s memory, ‘Dorothy’s Family’ was founded in 2007 in order to serve local children and families affected by cancer. Dorothy’s Family is currently active in Chicago, Orlando, New York and Denver.
Our mission is to unite family and friends in an effort to alleviate hardship by funding medical and family care services provided by hospitals and cancer-related care organizations.
Dorothy’s life was a testament to individual action making a lasting impact on others. Please join us in perpetuating her legacy by joining Dorothy’s Family.
