Introduction

 

Dorothy's Family is a charity dedicated to providing medical treatment and support services to pediatric cancer patients and their families in memory of Dorothy Traver, a loving wife, mom and friend, who lost her battle with cancer nearly four years ago.


Donations are directed to the children currently being treated in Central DuPage Hospital's pediatric oncology ward.  Contributions are tax deductible through the Central DuPage Hospital Foundation a certified 501(c) 3 corporation.

Our Mission

Dorothy Traver was a selfless and loving wife and mother, who was highly active in local church and scholastic communities and constantly strived to improve others' lives. She lost her life to uterine sarcoma on October 3, 2003, but her spirit of selflessness and compassion lives on through her family and friends.

To honor Dorothy's memory, "Dorothy's Family" was founded on May 18th, 2007 in order to serve local children and families affected by cancer.

Our mission is to unite family and friends in an effort to alleviate pain and suffering by supporting patient and family care services provided by Central DuPage Hospital.

Dorothy's life is a testament to individual action making a lasting impact on others. Please join us in perpetuating her legacy by joining Dorothy's Family.
